Subprocessor List

AuthorsLab uses a number of third-party service providers - called subprocessors - to help deliver the platform. Each of these companies processes some personal data on our behalf, under our instructions, and under a data processing agreement with us.
This page is our commitment to transparency. We update it when our subprocessor list changes.

Notes on AI subprocessors
AuthorsLab's use of Anthropic and OpenAI is governed by their commercial API terms. Data processing agreements with Anthropic, OpenAI, and Supabase are in place under each provider's standard terms. Under those agreements:
- Anthropic does not use content submitted via the API to train its models.
- OpenAI does not use content submitted via the API to train its models.
This means your manuscript content, when passed to these services for editorial processing or cover generation, is not used to improve their AI systems.
International transfers
Several subprocessors are based in the United States. Where personal data is transferred to US-based subprocessors, we rely on:
- UK International Data Transfer Agreements (IDTAs) for transfers from the UK
- EU Standard Contractual Clauses (SCCs) for transfers from the EU

Changes to this list
We review our subprocessor list regularly. When we add or remove a subprocessor, we update this page and revise the "Last updated" date above.
